 1) Every year 24 November is remarked as Guru Tegh Bahadur Shaheedi Diwas.

2) Guru Tegh Bahadur was the ninth guru, who founded Sikh religion.

3) It is observed to memorize the sacrifice made by him.

4) According to Noel King (a Sikh scholar) it is considered as the first martyrdom to save human rights in the world.

5) Many political leaders like president, vice president, etc pay tribute to Guru Tegh Bahadur on this day.

6) In some parts of India this day is marked as a restricted holiday.

7) The Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib in Chandni Chowk (Delhi) is where he was beheaded.

8) Death anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur is observed on this day.

9) The year 2021 is observed as 346th death anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur.

10) This celebration is mostly observed by Sikh community in Punjab.
