10 LINES ON ATAL TUNNEL

  1) India holds the honor of having the world’s longest highway tunnel recently constructed in the country and is named as Atal Tunnel. 2) Prime Minister Narendra Modi in presence of Defence Minister and Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh inaugurated this tunnel on 3rd October 2020. 3) The Atal tunnel is constructed in Himachal Pradesh, under Rohtang Pass which is located in the Pir-Panjal range of Himalayas. 4) The name of the tunnel i.e. ‘Atal Tunnel’ has been given by the then Prime Minister Narendra Modi to pay tribute to our former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. 5) Atal Tunnel is 9.02 km long and is constructed 10,000 feet above sea level. 6) Tonnes of cement strengthened with fiber, steel, and rock bolts have been used in manufacturing the grand Tunnel. 7) The emergency exit passage with a length of 2.25m and a breadth of 3.6m is specifically designed inside the tunnel with fire extinguishers and speakers for the dissemination of information. 8) The Atal Tunnel will provid

  1) Dharampal Gulati was popularly and respectfully called Mahashay Dharampal Gulati. 2) The founder and CEO of MDH, Dharampal Gulati was born on 27th of March 1923 and died on 3 December 2020 at an age of 97. 3) The initial life of Dharampal Gulati was full of ups and downs. 4) He stepped out to try in business after he was spilled out of the school in class 5th. 5) Before becoming a working hand to his father he tried his luck in carpentry, selling rice and hardware. 6) The partition of India and Pakistan brought a great tragedy to the business and life of the family of Dharampal Gulati. 7) The shop of his father has to be vacated as was located in Sialkot that was the part of Pakistan after the partition. 8) The family of Dharampal Gulati shifted to India and moved to New Delhi and earned his living by driving a Tonga. 9) A shop with the banner Mahashian Di Hatti was again set up by Dharampal Gulati in New Delhi which was eventually followed by different branches of it in New Delhi

10 LINES ON NATIONAL FARMER’S DAY

  1) Farmer’s Day is celebrated in many countries all around the world to pay tribute to all the farmers. 2) 23rd December is commemorated as National Farmer’s Day in India. 3) In India, more than 60% of people are farmers and farmers are the real strength of our nation. 4) The day marks the birth anniversary of our former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh as he worked for the welfare of farmers. 5) Chaudhary Charan Singh during his tenure introduced different programs and schemes that were beneficial for the Indian farmers. 6) This day is celebrated to make people know about the importance and hard work done by farmers. 7) The functions like debates, quizzes, exhibitions are held on this day and winners are awarded. 8) The government on this day introduces schemes for benefitting the farmers. 9) Farmers are encouraged with new farming techniques by the officials of the agricultural committee. 10) The cenotaph of our former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh is named Kisan Ghat

10 LINES ON MID DAY MEAL SCHEME

  1) Mid Day Meal is a national programme launched by the Government of India on 15 August 1995. 2) The programme was launched to enhance the nutritional condition of school-going children. 3) It ensures that hot cooked food will be served to all the children of age 6-14 years studying in Government schools. 4) The meal served is free of cost and is served in school premises only. 5) Tamil Nadu was the first state to implement the mid-day meal scheme. 6) The food prepared in the mid-day meal scheme is according to the guidelines of the government. 7) British Administration first time initiated the mid-day meal scheme in Madras corporation during 1925. 8) Mid Day meal scheme in India is known as the largest lunch programme for students in the world. 9) The scheme aims to provide nutrition and encourage students for coming to schools. 10) The evaluation of the quality of food is done by Food and Drugs Administration of the state.

  1) Avian influenza or H5N1 is commonly called bird flu. 2) It is a highly transmissible disease and Influenza type A is a causal agent in birds. 3) Wild aquatic birds are the natural source of avian influenza viruses. 4) Different strains of the Influenza virus are responsible for swine, horse, dog, and human flu. 5) Out of three types (A, B, C) Influenza A is specific to birds. 6) Avian influenza accounts for the high mortality rate in birds. 7) Avian influenza is capable of transmission from birds to human beings. 8) The two types of avian influenza strains are high pathogenic and low pathogenic strains. 9) The high pathogenic avian influenza strain was first found in a goose in China in 1996. 10) In 1997, cases of human infection by bird flu were first reported in Hong Kong.
